This year the Bravehearts FODC are asking, who is your Braveheart?! The idea behind it was to encourage people to ride and raise funds in memory of a loved one. It didn't take long for me to come up with my braveheart, it is my father Dennis Mulligan. He was one of my best friends, and also one of the strongest people I've ever known. He battled a bone marrow disease called myelofibrosis from when he was first diagnosed in his early 30's. The doctors at the time only gave him a few years to live, and in true Braveheart fashion he crushed their projection. 

I lost my father on 12/4/18 after he battled with the side effects of a bone marrow transplant in an attempt to cure his disease. He was hiking, playing bocce, and fishing right up to the day he entered the hospital. With blood counts that would have had a normal person glued to the couch and short of breath, he was determined to live his best life and be as strong as possible for his family and friends. 

He truly loved this event we put on each year and this year myself and my team ride in honor of my father. Please donate in his memory and for all the kids and famalies at Camp Sunshine facing similar circumstances. Thank you!
