Doug & Kirsten

Welcome to Doug & Kirsten's fund raising page!! Thank you in advance for supporting us but more importantly  Camp Sunshine and the Bravehearts foundation.

How did Braveheart's start:
In July of 2013, my friend Dylan Connelly (30 years old at the time, married with 3 young children) passed away after receiving a terminal prognosis for glioblastoma. Dylan's family and friends decided start to the Bravehearts foundation, and scheduled a bike ride to raise funds for his family. Since then, the Bravehearts hold a bike ride and family day celebrating his life and raising funds for a new beneficiary each year. It's truly an amazing day spent in the hills of Harvard, Ma. This year the goal is to raise $100k!!!

Where do the funds go?
In 2019 100% of the proceeds raised will go directly to Camp Sunshine located on Sebago Lake in Casco Maine! Camp Sunshine provides retreats,

Camp Sunshine provides retreats combining respite, recreation and support, while enabling hope and promoting joy, for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families through the various stages of a child’s illness.

YOUR donations help these families do things they’ve never done before; experience their first snowfall, sing songs by a campfire with newfound friends, paddle on the lake at sunset.

"Every July more than 400 cyclists (from first timers, to weekend warriors, to Olympians) brave our 25 or 50 mile course through the backroads and challenging hills of Harvard, Massachusetts to help kids with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Every mile we ride and dollar we raise is in honor of our friend, Dylan Connelly."
