Brian Connelly's Fundraising Page
Friends - Thank your consideration for supporting me and the rest of my team for the Braveheart Bike Ride on July 13th...I'm going to ride 25 miles this year in suport of this great annual event, now in its 7th year. It is my goal to personally raise $500 which goes to Camp Sunshine to help sponsor a child with a life-threatening illness and their family during one of the week-long respites offered at the year-round Camp in Casco, Maine! 100% of your donation will go to Camp Sunshine (campsunshine.org).
Why I'm riding - When my cousin Pat's son Dylan Connelly received a terminal diagnosis at the age of 30, he decided to live out his days at his home in the town of Harvard with his wife Nadine, three children - Neeve, Fiona and Rowan (ages 6, 3 and 1 at the time), where he could be close to his parents Mary & Pat, brother Jude, sister Hilah, and the many close friends he made throughout his life time.
Dylan died on July 19, 2013, yet he continues to inspire many, just as he did in life. In July of every year since, we honor Dylan and celebrate the power of family and friends by bringing you the Annual Bravehearts FODC Ride and Family Day. As part of the event, we raise money for Camp Sunshine - an amazing place that does precisely what the “Bravehearts nation” values by offering a unique retreat on Sebago Lake in Maine for kids with life-threatening illnesses and their families—All 100% PAID FOR BY DONATIONS.
