RJ's Virtual Walk
In 2008, I was diagnosed with Acute Lympoblastic Leukemia and would undergo two and a half years of treatment at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. It was through the wonderful staff at Dana Farber that I would learn about Camp Sunshine.
I would attend Camp Sunshine for the first time in 2009 with my family, and this experience would change my life forever, I was able to get away from the hospital and feel like a kid again. I would make so many new lifelong friends and try things I never thought I could. Camp Sunshine is a magical place that helps children and families forget about treatments at the hospital and be together.
My family after five years as campers, now returns every summer to volunteer and help families! Camp Sunshine is a magical place, and I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to go as a family and return as a volunteer to help other families. Please support my virtual walk for Camp Sunshine! All funds raised go towards their mission of supporting children with life threatening illnesses and their families.
